  • Are there any additional rehearsals or performance commitments outside of regular class times?
    While are regular classes focus on skill-building and technique, there may be additional rehearsal or performance opportunities for interested students. These commitments may be related to showcases, plays or other special events. Participation in such activities is voluntary, and details will be shared with interested students and parents separately.
  • How much are the classes at the D.A.C?
    We offer a free trial for new students who would like to experience our Dramatics Acting Club. Following the trial, the cost for each lesson is £5-£7 depending on location due to Hall hire fees. We believe in making the classes accessible and affordable, allowing children to explore and develop their acting, singing and dancing skills without financial barriers, we have bursaries and help more financially available, please enquire with your instructor, if this is something you are interested in accessing.

    The D.A.C offers engaging programs for three distinct age groups: Children aged, 5 to 7, 8 to 12 and 13 to 16. Each group will have activities and content specifically tailored to their developmental stage, ensuring a fun and age - appropriate experience for all participants
  • What types of activities will my child be involved in?
    Your child will have the opportunity to engage in a variety of exciting activities, including acting, singing and dancing. Through the D.A.C, children will explore the world of performing arts, develop their acting skills, learn vocal techniques, and discover the joy of movement and expression through dance. They will have the chance to participate in acting exercises, vocal training, choreographed routines, ensemble performances, and even explore the intersection of dancing, singing and acting in musical theater production. These diverse activities aim to nurture your child's creativity, self-expression, and overall performing arts abilities.
  • Are there any performance opportunities for the children?
    Yes, the D.A.C provides performance opportunities for the children. These may include showcases, plays, musicals, or recitals where the children can showcase their talent and hard work.
  • Are there any breaks during the classes?
    Yes, we typically incorporate short break periods during our classes, to allow students to rest, hydrate, and recharge.
  • What safety measures are in place during the D.A.C activities?
    The safety of our participants is a top priority. We ensure a safe environment by having qualified adult supervision presented at all club activities. We also conduct regular safety inspections of the rehearsal spaces, implement age-appropriate guidelines for physical activities and maintain emergency protocols to address any unforeseen circumstances. All our members of staff are DBS checked before joining us.
  • Do the D.A.C staff have any first aid training?
    Yes, the D.A.C staff undergo basic first aid training to ensure they are prepared to handle minor injuries or emergencies that may occur during club activities. They are knowledgeable about basic first aid techniques, CPR (Cardiopulmonary resuscitation), and how to seek appropriate medical assistance when necessary.

    We have a comprehensive child protection policy in place, which includes thorough background checks for all club staff. we adhere to appropriate, child safeguarding guidelines. and maintain a strict code of conduct to create a safe and secure enviroment for all particiants.
  • What measures are taken to ensure the well-being of young actors with specific health concerns or allergies?
    At the D.A.C we prioritize the safety and well-being of all our young actors, including those with specific health concerns or allergies. During the registration process, we request parents or guardians to provide us with necessary information about their child's medical conditions, allergies, or other health concerns. With this information, we create individual care plans to address their specific needs. Trained staff are made aware of these care plans and take necessary precautions during D.A.C activities to ensure the comfort and safety of all our young actors.
